  This Award recognizes the organization that provides the best overall working conditions and environment to its employees and would be the choice employer of those seeking work in the sector.  
Criteria No. Criteria Description Weightage
1 Evidence of a year-on-year increase in positive score from employee engagement survey 20%
Examples may include:
  • System for measuring employee satisfaction.
  • Initiatives to follow up employee suggestions.
  • High participation or increasing levels of employee satisfaction.
2 Employee career development and learning initiatives 25%
Examples may include:
  • Testing for quality of training programmes and how they are evaluated.
  • Training and development plan for the year and structure for evaluation of training needs.
  • Succession plans being developed.
  • Evolving succession plan based on career progress
3 Culture that allows creativity, empowerment and the expression of ideas 20%
Examples may include:
  • Demonstration of transparency and free expression in the workplace.
  • Meetings where suggestions or ideas have been discussed within the team members and actioned.
  • Employee Suggestion schemes.
  • Open door policies and/or grievance policies.
  • Encouraging implementation of new ideas and no blame culture.
  • Open meetings with leaders and healthy interpersonal communication between employees at all levels
4 Strong performance management system adhering to the principles of ‘Reward and Recognition’ 20%
Examples may include:
  • Openly acknowledging good performance or promotion based on performance.
  • Any rewards or awards given to employees, letters of appreciation etc.
  • Performance driven policies and compensation packages.
  • Promoting from within wherever possible
5 Overall commitment from all levels to quality 15%
Examples may include:
  • Evidence of employee commitment to perform all duties with utmost concern for high quality(examples).
  • Recognition of quality of products, services and people by external bodies.
  • Company winning employee-related awards.
  • Evidence of brand quality
